  • SCAM ALERT - LD English Training Centre, Jieyang, China

Promises, promises - This school operates illegally, they have no obligation to fulfil your contract - AND THEY DON'T. The advertised job spec is false.

They regularly replace teachers through various agencies as not to comply with their individual contracts, they can choose to leave you with no job or accommodation when they please.... on arriving, I didn't trust them from day one.

The school itself is merely a money making centre, privately run in Jieyang, taking advantage of local people by promising extracurricular English teaching by native speakers. Random Chinese assistants, low grade facilities, inadequate and under qualified suspect teachers (David is an existing American posing as a teacher for over 3 years, as he later admitted, he can't get any other employment - an absolute disgrace to our profession - as a requested contact source, he provided me with false information before arriving).

I felt sorry for the students and the parents, they are being deceived. The worst school, if you can call it that,  I've come across in 8 years of teaching. They simply don't care. AVOID at all costs!

If you have come across similar schools anywhere, please let people know, they give qualified teachers and legitimate schools who actually care about educational standards a bad name.
