  • DO NOT WORK AT LAL Language Centres

I am sending this as a warning to anyone seeing LAL Language Centres employment ads. They have camps set up all over America.

They will establish a contract with you and when you arrive on campus all of the terms will be different. Terms such as your hours, the curriculum, working conditions, pay, etc. Most of the teachers did not know the additional hours the camp will require of you until they arrived. The teachers have not been paid by the date promised. The camp is unorganized; classes are overcrowded. You are expected to just go with the flow, even if it makes you look unprofessional.

I have attached a snippet of their contract. It states they do NOT give out formal contracts; so, they are not bound by the terms they discuss with you on paper or over the phone. It's a scam!

The managers from Europe just walk around while the camp is totally in disarray. Please save your money and find another ESOL Job!
