We also believe this is a scam. We applied for two jobs in Thailand, had some email contact with Christian Philips and everything seemed alright. When we almost transfered the money, we decided to google ARA and found this message. We got a bit suspicious and emailed Christian with some difficult questions like:
-Could you please tell us the name, address, email and telephone number of the school we will be working for? We would like to contact them also and talk with them quickly.
-How many other teachers are working with ARA and could you give the contact details of one or two, so we can ask them some questions?
We also said we don't want to pay the deposit money because we think they risk almost nothing hiring us and for us it's a lot of money.

We haven't heard from Christian Philips since and we don't expect to hear from him. So don't fall for this and thanks to the people who took the effort to post the earlier messages on this forum!
